Yard Sale for the Cure this Saturday

This Saturday, May 26, the park is hosting a yard sale in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer  Foundation from 8AM – 2PM. More details can be found at http://www.yardsaleforthecure.com/about

Sale Features:

CBCF pink tent with lots of pink ribbon items for sale – including a table of pink, Tyco poodles.
RUN for the Cure activation and sign up with paper shoe decorating on site.
Live auction of select antiques.
Makeup area with kid’s face painting, pink lashes, cure breast cancer pink polish applications.
A barbeque will be serving signature hot dogs, pulled pork sandwiches, curry chicken sandwiches and traditional, handmade sodas.

Hawker Bar receives green light, with conditions.

Ossington Ave signHawker Bar, a new Singapore street food meets Ossington venture from the same group that opened Poutini’s on Queen West last year, has been given the green light for their liquor license, albeit with some conditions stipulated by Ward 19 Councillor Mike Layton’s office. Hawker, in the face of some serious neighbourhood concerns, has been very forthcoming with their intentions, and hopefully these conditions strike a balance between residents and the business.
