The first event associated with the David Suzuki Homegrown National Park initiative is the greening of the boulevard of Charles G. Fraser Elementary school along Robinson and Manning! This is going to be fantastic. Everyone’s on board; the TBCA, the Councillor, the Principal, the Parents Association and of course David Suzuki. Help us turn that sod into a garden. Come one, come all. It’s going to be a big neighborhood family event.

Location: Manning, between Dundas and Queen Street.

Day1—Turning the Sod: Saturday May 25, 2013, 9am-3pm. We need muscles to turn the sod! Don’t forget to bring your shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows or any other gardening tools that could be used.

Day2—Planting Event: Sunday May 26, 2013, 9am-3pm. We invite you and your family back to help plant flowers and create a mulch path. Remember to bring your gardening tools.

We look forward to seeing all of our neighbors there!
