See Toronto Evolve from 1818 to 2014 with Interactive Map

Historic_map-torontoThe Toronto Historic Maps tool is a free interactive map that weaves together a collection of maps dating from 1818, allowing users to see how their neighbourhoods have changed over close to 200 years.

Created by Toronto map enthusiast Nathan Ng with help from Chris Olsen (an employee at Esri–a mapping software company based in California), the map incorporates ten “time settings” located on a horizontal slider that allow you to move through time.
